7 Awesome Destinations in Goa

For vacation in India 2019, Goa is one of the awesome place or destination, every traveler love to visit in Goa.

Goa is India’s richest state, with a GDP per capita two and a half times that of the country. It is famous for beaches, green land, coconut plantations, temples and cathedrals, which are spread across the state.

Here are seven awesome tourist destinations across Goa. And these all seven destinations shows the culture and beauty of Goa.

Dudhsagar Falls

Dudhsagar Falls is a four-tiered waterfall located on the Mandovi River in the border of the Indian state of Goa and Karnataka. It is amongst India’s tallest waterfalls with a height of 310 meters (1017 feet) and an average width of 30 meters (100 feet). This transfers to a sea of milk and such is its fall. It is 60 km from Panaji by road and is located on the Madgaon-Belgaum rail route about 46 km east of Madgaon and 80 km south of Belgaum.

Panji

It lies on the banks of the Mandovi River outfall in the Ilhas de Goa sub-district (taluka). This town has mix culture in buildings. The old buildings like State Museum, Church of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception, Menezes Braganza Institute, and Secretariat have been rebuilt over time as the rulers changed. Panji is Goa’s largest Urban agglomeration, ahead of Margao and Vasco da Gama.

Chapora Fort

Chapora Fort is located in Bardez, Goa, and rises high above the Chapora River. The fort changed several times after Portuguese acquired Bardez. The present fort was built in 1717 and replacing the older fort specification. The fort site is on important position which provides best views in all directions. Each bastille has a cylindrical tower, which offering a special and awesome character to the fort.

Ponda

Main attraction of this town is a Mosque, which was built by Ibrahim Adil Shah. The main attractions in this town include Shantadurga Temple built by Shivaji, Shri Laxmi Narasimha Temple famous for the man-lion incarnation of Vishnu, Shri Nagesh Temple for the worship of Nagesh, Shri Ramnath Temple worshiped by devotees of Shiva and Vishnu, and Shri Mangesh Temple.

B-a-g-a Beach

Baga Beach is a popular beach and tourist or visiters destination in North Goa. Baga is located at the north end of the contiguous beach stretch that starts from Sinquerim, Candolim, leads to Calangute and then to Baga. While walking on the beach shore, one can enjoy the various souvenir shops to the best party hubs around this beach. The beach contains rows of shacks and fishing boats, and at high tide the beach is narrow.

Calangute Beach

Calangute is a town in North Goa and famous for its beach. The beach is the largest in North Goa and visited by thousands of domestic and international tourists or visiters every year. The villages of Arpora Goa, Candolim, and Saligao do their bit in enhancing the serene natural ambience of this place. The beach offers water sports activities like parasailing and water skiing, and others water activities.

Tambdi Surla

Tambdi Surla is a 12th-century temple of the Lord Mahadeva(Shiva) and an active place of Hindu worship. It is notable as the oldest temple in Goa, India. The symmetrical architecture is built by stone slabs fitted neatly into each other without the use of mortar. The temple was built by Hemadri, the minister of the Yadava King Ramachandra.
