However, smartphones from Oppo, Vivo, Nokia, and even Xiaomi has significant options to be a companion if you are looking for a good phone under 25,000 rupees.
In this blog, we will tell you which smartphone to buy, if you are looking to get one that under 25,000 rupees.
POCO F1 :
Xiaomi POCO F1 has gained a spot on our list, thanks to its attractive specifications and remarkable performance. The phone was launched back in August last year with a starting price of 20,999 rupees. The POCO F1 has all the elements of a Xiaomi phone namely a powerful processor, MI UI, and a low price. The Snapdragon 845 SOC performed well at the time of playing or using.
Likewise, the liquid cooling system of the phone didn’t break a sweat even while playing high-end graphics intensive games like PUBG and Asphalt 9 legends. Some recent updates also introduced white wine album support which means you can watch Netflix videos in full HD resolution, 60 FPS 4K video recording, game turbo mode and Android 9 Pie with MI UI 10 on the top.
Through an HD video loop test, we also found that the onboard 4000 mAh battery has sufficient power to last for a little over 17 hours and supplied fast charger is also capable of charging the phone up to 35% in 30 minutes. On the downside, the display panel quality of the poker front isn’t up to the mark.
Its camera also gives just average low light performance and the selfie camera specifically missed out on a few details at the time of review. Furthermore, the bloatware that comes from MI UI alongside tons of annoying ads can’t be ignored. While the base variant of POCO F1is available under 20,000 rupees.
We recommend the 6GB and 128 GB storage variant if your budget is up to 25,000 rupees.
VIVO V11 PRO :
If the POCO F1 isn’t of your choice for any reason then you can take a look at the VIVO V11 PRO. The phone was launched at a price of 20,990 rupees back in September last year but it recently received a price cut which makes it one of the best phones under 25,000 rupees.
The VIVO V11 PRO has a full HD plus super AMOLED display that is accompanied by a water drop style display notch. The display panel provides vivid colors and deep blacks and the phone also supports an in-display fingerprint sensor that takes a second also to unlock the screen. In terms of optics, VIVO has given a dual rear camera setup and we noticed that its autofocus is really fast.
There is also an auto HDR mode that works in a decent manner at the time of testing balancing the exposure of the dark and bright areas well. Additionally, the phone handles noise quite well even in low light while preserving details. As for the selfies, the VIVO V11 PRO is one of the best phones to produce well-exposed selfies, though the camera of the VIVO V11 PRO affects the battery.
We noticed that the overall battery life of the phone is decent. Some lags were noticed when we bumped up the graphics in games such as Asphalt 9 Legends and PUBG due to the underpowered snapdragon 660 processor. Nevertheless, regular use of the phone and playing as Asphalt 9 and PUBG on default medium to low settings didn’t bring any noticeable lags.
The VIVO V11 PRO has alone 6 GB RAM plus 64 GB storage variant that currently retails for 23,990 rupees. It comes in dazzling gold and starry night black color options.
NOKIA 8.1 :
HMV Global brought the Nokia 8.1 as it’s new mid-range offering at a price of 26,999 rupees back in December last year. However, the phone is on sale with a starting price of 21,999 rupees which makes it one of the best phones in our list of best smartphones priced under 25,000 rupees.
In our Nokia 8.1 review, we found that the smartphone felt big chunky and heavy all because of its aluminum and glass materials and styling. The phone also comes as a decent overall performer that uses the Snapdragon 710 SOC with a dedicated AI subsystem.
Display which is an HDR 10k capable screen is bright and vibrant. The presence of Android One also ensures PDR software updates and zero floats where than Chinese counterparts. Also, we found the camera of the Nokia 8.1 is fairly capable of capturing good details and vibrant colors and locks focus quickly.
However, there was a bit of overexposure in some shots by clicking. We also observed too much noise and queeny details in low light shots. Being said the battery of the Nokia 8.1 is decent. We found that after a full day of use including about 2 hours of non-HDR video streaming and a few rounds of PUBG. Alongside usual messaging and web browsing. The phone had about 10% of the battery.
In our full HD video loop test, the phone lasted for 9 hours and 21 minutes before requiring the charging. The experience in terms of real world usage with the given hardware was also predictable smooth during the resting.
The base variant of the Nokia 8.1 with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage is currently priced at 21,999 rupees. However, it also has a 6 GB RAM plus 128 GB storage variant which is currently available via some retail outlets at 26,999 rupees.
OPPO F11 PRO :
The last one on our list is the OPPO F11 PRO. The phone with its perfect selfie camera was launched back in March with a starting price of 24,990 rupees for the 6 GB RAM plus 64 GB storage configuration but OPO recently slashed the price of the smartphone making it a perfect fit for falls under the 25,000 rupees price segments.
The curved sides of the OPPO F11 PRO also make it comfortable to hold. The LCD display produces crisp colors and has good viewing angles and we also noticed that it is an option to tweet the color output of the display as well. In our review, the phone was quick to meter scenes for light and lock focus at subjects. Similarly, daylight shots we took were crisp enough with a good amount of details. The AI screen recognition was also fast enough. Nice shots on the phones also resulted in very low noise and one much grainy.
The selfie performance of OPPO F11 PRO is also pleasing. On the downside, we noticed overexposed backgrounds when taking shots against the light using the 16 MP rear camera. Also, the video recording on the VIVO F11 Pro was a bit disappointing since the phone doesn’t have 4K recording support. But none the less it does have image stabilization. There are two variants of OPPO F11 PRO and both variants have 6 GB of RAM. The 64 GB storage variant can be purchased at price for 22,990 rupees, while the 128 GB storage variant currently price at 23,990 rupees.
