So, I am back here with another article on the top 3 Bollywood movies of 2019 till now. There were a lot of movies which were really fantastic but didn’t reach the 200 crore club. Here are the top 3 movies of Bollywood:
Uri: The Surgical Strike :
Uri: The Surgical Strike movie is based on true story about the
surgical strike in September, 2017 and the movie is divided into 5 parts :
- The Seven Sisters: The first chapter opens up with an ambush in June 2015 on the convoy of the Indian Army troops in Chandel, Manipur by NSCN(K) militants
- An Unsettling Peace: The second chapter shows Vihaan taking a desk job at the Integrated Defence Staff HQ in New Delhi and him spending time with his family. This segment also shows a brief description of the Pathankot attack.
- Bleed India with a Thousand Cuts: On 18 September 2016, four heavily armed militants attack the brigade headquarters at Uri, Jammu and Kashmir at dawn, killing 19 soldiers in their sleep.
- Naya Hindustan (New India): During the planning, Govind ropes in ISRO (for providing satellite images), DRDO (for drone surveillance) and RAW (for intelligence). At DRDO, he meets an intern named Ishaan who had developed a drone called Garuda which looks and is shaped like an Eagle. With the help of the drones and satellite images, they are able to get the exact location of the hideouts and training camps of the terrorists
- The Surgical Strike: On the night of 28 September the commandos leave for the strike in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) in Mi-17 helicopters. During the mission, Vihaan’s helicopter is forced not to cross the Line of Control due to latest intelligence from spies in Pakistan that the Pakistani Army has Deployed an “AWAC” Early Warning Radar based Surface to Air Missile System to bring their Helicopter down.

Gully Boy :
The movie Gully Boy is inspired by the lives of Indian street rappers Divine and Naezy. The movie is about an aspiring street rapper from the Dharavi slums of Mumbai.
The movie was premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival on 9 February 2019 and got released on 15 February 2019.
The movie is all about rapping and revolves around a guy named Murad Ahmed who lives in slums of Mumbai with his family and who write songs to express himself and his father is all against him. At last the movie ends with Murad’s family and friends watching as Murad, the winner of the contest, begins his opening performance.

Badla:
The story follows an interview between a lawyer and a businesswoman, in which the latter insists that she is wrongfully framed for the murder of her lover. The movie consists of many plots and turns. The movie is fantastic and the acting of Amitabh Bachchan is superb as always, the movie is must watch.
